Default AP2 Kraftwerks Hi Boost realistic DYNO numbers?

The time has come to supercharge my '04 AP2 and the Kraftwerks High Boost kit is at the top of my list.

I am looking for a clean installation, reliable power on 91 octane and obviously a substantial bump in power over stock. The SoS kit gets good reviews but I can't help but think the overall look and feel is a bit more 'homemade' and I dislike the sound that the Vortech unit makes. I also want a 100% plug-N-play tuning solition out of the box that won't require any adjustemnts of dyno fine tuning.

What is a realistic Dynojet result from an AP2 with this High Boost kit? My car will be stock other than a cat-back exhaust.

Thanks

Seem to be around 350-370whp from what I have seen.

I would strongly recommend SOS over the Kraftwerks kit though. Much more reliable and much more power potential if you get the 1200 blower.

That would make me happy Is the general consensus that this is a 'safe' kit at that power level?

Maybe another 15whp with a good header and no cat?....not that I am likely to do that, just curious.

Are Kraftwerks High Boost owners really seeing 10psi from these kits or is it typically a bit lower?

Are there any components included in the kit that should really be upgraded right off the bat?

I know for sure that I have no desire to go beyond 400whp (or even 375whp) so the extra power 'potential' of the SOS kit would be wasted on me.

You did catch my attention with the "much more reliable" comment. Can you please explain? Are there durability issues with the Kraftwerks kits or do they cause the engines to blow?

Engines won't blow just seems they had a lot of issues popping up from the owners. Think they also went out of business but I guess being sold by skunk2 or something now. Not sure.
I've never been interested in them since they max out way too early for me.

If you read around in the FI forum there is lots of info on the Kraftwerks issues.

As a counterpoint to Moddiction, I've had very few problems (and all minor) with the kit and I've been running mine for over 40k miles and at least 3 years now. What I would be concerned about, as mentioned above, is the company itself. If i were you, i'd pick SOS over Kraftwerks simply because they exist and Kraftwerks does not.

Im looking for a kit also that is made right hand drive for my s2k in Australia. Im after reliability, 320-360 rwhp, great throttle response and without sacrificing fuel consumption on dailey cruising unless i put my foot down lol.
there are so many kits and its getting confusing for my AP1.

When skunk2 took over Kraftwerks they fixed a lot of the issues with the kit.. I've talked to the folks at skunk2 a few times and they flaws have been tackled..

I would also suggest looking into the HKS supercharger kit, if its fully developed by now.. Seems like a pretty good kit, and should give you around the same whp numbers as the Kraftwerks since they both utilize very small but efficient Rotrex blowers..

I would just go SOS. I was running 10psi for 3 years thinking that it would be enough. Now I am running 19+psi. No regrets here.
