Default ARP Head Bolts

Saw these on ebay and I was just wondering if these are the ones that we need if we are putting a head gasket in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ARP-HEAD-BO...sspagenameZWD1V

Yeah, that's them. I just bought them 3 days ago and paid about
$126.00 + shipping. I just reread the Ebay ad. He wants $77.00 to ship. What an _hole. I wouldn't buy jack from someone with that kind of BS biz practices.

Yeah, that is a marketing scam that they use on ebay. They attract people with their super low prices, while most people dont look at the shipping charges until they have won the auction.. So you think you are getting a super deal but really you are paying normal prices after shipping. So they ultimately get their money but a quicker sale cause someone thought they were getting a deal and most likely didnt pay attention. There are actually ebay selling kits that teach you scams like this to sell your items quick.

Since the item costs less, Ebay gets less and taxes are less.

Hence the selling practice.

If ebay sees an item like that, they will take it down due to what sideways said.

Also, they are not NEEDED for a headgasket install.

So, they are forgoing maybe $5 in taxes? This assumes they owe 10% on a $100 item and are only charged 50% price. Taxes should be a moot issue on such a small dollar item like this.

Caveat Emptor. Ebay is great, as long as you can READ and COMPREHEND!

And I thought it was general rule of thumb to use studs when boosting beyond 15psi or so (to prevent head from lifting) just to be safe. I know others have run higher without any problems on stock bolts, but I believe others have lifted the head from less... Also, from what I have read, the studs are fine as long as they are installed to the correct torque spec (based on which lubricant you use).
