Best clutch option for 550-600 DD
I just found the upper limits of the ACT HD kit, luckily I found it now and not a week from now when we are retuning on high boost. I tried searching for clutch options but most posts I found were from 2010 or older. Are there new options available that wont break the bank and still be able to hold 550-600hp...and be somewhat DD friendly.

Twin disc will be your best choice especially for dd. Its really just that or a 6 puck. There are also full disc ceramic segmented discs but i dont think its hold capacity is as high as youre getting up to.

I'm short on time and had to order it today to get it here by the weekend. the best I could figure is a Clutchmasters FX500. We'll see how ruff it is. I wish I could have gone twindisk, but its just not in my budget.

if you want 600+whp and you want it to be daily derivable friendly. your only option is the sos twin disc. Yes it cost a lot but it hold a lot of power and drive great. There are lots of single disc puck stype clutches that will hold 600whp but the drivablity will suck and you will hate you car if you have to drive it on the street in bumper to bumper traffic. Clutch like the act 6 puck or the competition stage 4 fit into this category. Other cheaper twin disc like competion twin will drive a hell of a lot better then single disc puck clutches but its still not great and they wear down fast. but they do hold the power.
i always recomend stock clutch for up to 300whp act hdss for up to 500ishwhp and sos twin for 500+whp. This is for a street car that cares about drivability in traffic. For a track car that does not car about drivability i would just get the competion stage 4.
