Boost Spike at low RPM
IF I set my MBC to be a solid 10PSI, I have to sacrifice Spiking to around 11PSI when I initially go WOT. When I go WOT I am usually around 3-4,000RPMS, then by redline the Boost is just under 10PSI............
I know 11PSI is the same pressure at 2,000RPMS as it is at 8,000RPMS, but is it enough to blow something up at such low RPMS?
basically should I set it so I spike to 10 and run a consistent 9, or spike to 10.5-11psi to run a consistent 10PSI?
Please spare me the "buy an electronic Boost controller" I have it set so it spikes at 10 and runs 8.5-9 but I am just wondering because if and when I run this thing at the track (1/4mile) I would want to have it as close to 10psi (what I am tuned for) as possible

Well the first thing I was going to say when I read the title was to just ditch the damn thing already and get an electronic boost controller
11psi at such a low rpm doesn't sound too good personally. I much rather have a spike / creep at high RPMs then at low RPMs.
However, do you really floor it at 2k rpms? Thats not smart boost spiking or not; your nearly lugging the engine at that point.

no I was just speaking hypothetically
I have gone WOT in 6th at 4,000 or so RPMS to moniter what My boost does when I change the MBC, The boost comes on slow so I can let off the gas if it is set too high
