Default bov problem

i just installed a godzilla bov on a comptech a\c sc kit w\ stock pully and i get no sound at all out of it. if you rev the engine up and put your hand in front of the bov you can feel air comming out of it but it does not make any noise. has anyone had this problem or know what might cause this?

from your description, it sounds like you are doing this out of gear (not under load), I've a turbo setup but the principle is the same, you won't reach enough pressure to make an audible sound unless you make the engine "work"...

Check your vaccum line for leaks, you might also need a more direct source of vaccum instead of using the "T" on the existing lines. Using a larger vaccum line seemed to have positive affects with my stock bybass valve also. If the godzilla has a spring tension adjustment, you'll want to loosen that up. Also, check if the valve is binding (manually pushing on it), and try lubricating it up.

My $0.02,

Matt

Do you have a boost gauge in the car? I'm just asking because your car won't boost if you are revving it in neutral. Did you drive the car yet? You can also try tightening/loosening the spring on that BOV.

As above. More like than likely, you've plugged the wrong vaccum hole. And only plug the top one, not both. Leave the other one empty.

Use the top one on the rear (Or in front/the most top above one - If you have the BOV mounted upside down with the vent pointing downwards instead of upwards.) You will hear it vent/whine loudly @ approximately 3500 RPM in precision with the spool -> louder as the RPM increases.

And yes, it does spool even with no load. Those who say it does not, you need to check whether if you have a blower under your bonnet.
