Maybe the bumpstix from urge will be worth waiting for?

Keeping soft suspension/oem throttle body and intake manifold/perfectly idling 1300cc injectors with e85 and oem mufflers, all that would help absorb some of the lumpy idle quality of a vtec killer cam. All vtec killer cars ive seen go full billet engine mounts/super stiff suspension/open exhaust/2000cc or bigger horrible idle injectors/aggresive clutch/70mm plus sized throttle body and huge intake manifolds and that really makes the car unstreetable. But ive yet to see a dyno graph of a vtec killer set up to get an idea of how much they affect everyday street driveability.

If you want to see what vtec all the time is like without dropping all that coin on cams, you can get locking pins for $75. I can tell you now, bottom end power will be horrible...It'll sound mean as hell at idle though

Cant believe i hadnt thought of that. I think i can actually just turn on vtec from idle through aem ecu. I'm waiting on my cylinder head but i'll post up video comparing idle to 5k runs with vtec on vs off when i get my car back on the ground. It's a matter of how much noticable power is lost and if its worth the sound and how the lumpy idle 'shakes' the car vs the hp loss. I have a twinscroll setup so i think it'll help even out some of that lumpiness, might even help kick that turbine and spool it up abit quicker idk

Be careful doing that. Oil pressure will drop dangerously low at idle if the solenoid is open to allow oil to flow through the vtec rockers. I dont know of anyone that turns it on below 3500rpm

Our stock cams seem to work pretty well for boost considering, and would love to see some real dyno data from ap1/ap2 cam comparisons and mix/matching the combos. I do know that NA cams on a high revving engine have a lot of overlap in the valve opening, meaning both the intake and exhaust valves are open/unseated together for an extended amount of time, which is not ideal for boost obviously, since some of that positive pressure is evacuated/wasted during that time, rather then compressed in the cylinder. So a shorter overlap would be the typical boost vs NA cam difference I have gather in researching.

Agreed

I've read ap2 exhaust with ap1 intake cams are best combo for forced induction. Exact specs/proof/dynocharts/videos are all hard to dig up. Feels like people find what works and then are too lazy to share back with community:shrug:

we have high and low cam lobes a.k.a. vtec. Ive been trying to figure out if any company keeps oem low cam lobes oem and makes high cam lobes more aggressive only giving us the best of both worlds.

This is what Kings had me do. I was out of fuel anyway, so we didnt get to see the performance difference. Its cheap and easy swap, so id go with that. I know STU has BC stg 2 cams in and makes PLENTY of good HP. so cant go wrong there either.
