I see.. so 8374 is in order than..no running out of steam.and high powered midrange..
Anyway i dont know why you are worried about vtec crossover point and cruse.. you can be out of vtec at 7000rpm as long as you are out of boost ..and not floor it.. just add to the vtec that you need to be at least 1 psi and it wont go in vtec as long as you are crusing and in vaccum
Thanks for shareing..

Anyway your power curve is basicaly on-off..no smooth power delivery across the range, and from what i see it spools or makes full boost late..around 4000 or above.

Because I didn't want 300whp tipping it in to pass someone or go up an incline. My crossover load is at 3psi as it is. We have over 20 hours tuning it up to this point, 12-14 of which is on the Dyno. There was still 2 more 8 hour days of tuning after this point, its just the only picture I have. Power is very linear when and where I want it. The turbo has no problem making power at 3500 if I wanted it to. The car is driving 100% like a stock car, even drives better than my 2015 WRX.

Well just an update.. i change it to a T3 IWG 8374..i just wonder if the smaller AR on the single 0.83 would compensate for the twins 0.92AR

By the way i have a bigger heat exhanger up front from my comptech setup and i want to use a larger water intercooler and do a water to air intercooler for the setup.. the core i want to use is this.. http://www.frozenboost.com/air_water...air-p-205.html
Its going to sit behind the oem fans (will replace them with slim fans)
And the calculation i did on the cores the front core is same size/volume as this one..i dont know if i should do a traditional air to air or this..
I am halfway done just need a bigger cooler..
From what i read on an australian site is that realisticly air to air would be 4 degrees off the ambient air when charged air is cooled and best case on water type is 8 to 12 degrees off ambient...
And there is the weight.. but its a super clean install
Turbo is going to blow in it and only one 90degree elbow from it to the throttle body..

I chose the 9174 as my turbo with a quick spool valve, but the 8374 was my first choice. Glad to see that it's a good feeling turbo. Would love to see some more graphs.

Build is finsihed car is running fine..
here are some pictures..
some spec
F20 sleeved block darton Dry ..
Je pistons 11.5 CR with cometic 1.5mil i think headgaskets
Built head and valvetrain
Custom Water-air aftercooler mounted on V-band on the turbo and the Throttle (70mm) so the turbo is fixed on the exhaust and the intake and no flex joint and no strain so it cracks ..its one whole thing..everything moves with the motor moving..turbo..intercooler
two water aftercoolers joined together
EFR 8374 AR0.83 T3 (turbosmart IWG)
Custom Header T3 but built for Twinscroll in mind (i built it)
3" downpipe until divided in 2x2.25" magnaflow 11225
Meth snow performance stage 1 with wired in to controlled by the ms3 enhanced how much to spray (pwm controlled in tuner studio for rpm and boost. And %)
BMC CDA SP04 s2000 NA airfilter with fresh air from outside (mounted behind the radiator(why fans are now in front) and draws cool air from the left compartment in the bumper below the left headlight - its under the intercooler)
2 Spal Fans Pusher type mounted on the AC condenser
(2 Motorcycle Fans on the Water intercooler to activate 5c degrees above Ambient to cool the fluid if it gets 5c above the ambient on outlet of the intercooler toward the aftercooler)
-Deleted this since radiator fans kick from time to time and cool the intercooler radiator and intercooler fans have no function..

now its tuned without boost control at Turbosmart IWG spring at 7psi

Oil filter and oil oem Water jacket is in its place..nothing changed dramaticaly except the fans..
Turbo return water is in the radiator since its too high temp to return to the block

Now the car drives as it was supercharged..feels like a powerful NA car....no turbo lag..no kick ..spools st 3500rpm and full boost at 4000rpm..has no boost creep at high rpm
MS3 is the best thing ever..car stars right up.. Runs smoothly drives real good..this is comming from an Aem v1 and V2 ..its miles apart
I tell u..its not loud..only exhaust sounds comming out..u cant tell its a turbo car if u drove it and if u heard it on the street..
Just what i was looking for.. I have 235/35-19 (mischelin SS)
wheels and with the 7ps its right on the traction point with little slip i guess i would do 12 psi on 3rd and 15..16 on 4th so i have traction

Anybody that needs help send me a message
8374 was the perfect turbo for what i look for

Looks like a great build, the links seem not to work though, any chance of posting the photos again?
