Clutch for FI
#11
500hp on an act combo is pushing the absolute limit of that clutch. Mine and several others slipped in the 400s on it. Over 500 is approaching twin disk territory. Im on a CM sprung FX500. Its a bit grabby but it gets the job done. I can't comment for other clutch manufacturers but clutchmasters includes all OEM bearings in their kits...the oem throwout bearing alone is $130

Another ACT PP and OEM disc and bearings user. I'm at a sc'd 500 whp and no slipping. It's daily friendly as well. My friends who drive it comment that it doesn't drive like a tuner car.

500whp sc and felt the clutch was just too light. As if I was always over working it.
Just put 350 miles on a custom fx400 segmented disk and act pp. it’s pretty grabby for daily but I think it will get better with time. You sacrifice some drivability but get the extra grab and confidence in the clutch.
Its a love/hate thing. Lil buzz between 2-3k, only on decel tho.

btw, im at 367wtq on the act/oem seems to be holding fine so far. Had plenty of pulls, no hard launches.
question, for those of us already on act/oem, would swapping just the disk to a segmented or higher tq-rated disk hold more power?

hes at 485whp, or 600hp. Everyone should speak whp figures.
