couple of questions for the turbo guru's
Hey guy's i'm in the process of installing a custom kit on my06 s and as this is my first honda turbo build I need a bit off guidance on a few issues.
1. I'm building my own intercooler piping. Is there any reason not to use 3" piping. Only running low boost for now but plans for E85 and substantially more in the future. I'm using a Godspeed 700hp spec V intercooler and it has 3" inlets. My thinking was match the intercooler and bigger piping equals better flow. Am I correct?
2. This car is dbw. where can I get the fitting for the iat sensor like kwerks uses on there charge piping. If its not available I see that people are using v6 accord threaded iat's. what year or even better what is the part #.
3. I was looking at deutchworks 1300cc injectors. Has anyone used these, are they good. They are cheaper than ID's and cost is a factor.
4. Is 1300 too big for stock fuel pump. I'm gonna be installing IP fuel return kit in the future to run E85 but for now just low boost and pump gas. Will these work so I don't have to pull the fuel pump twice.
5. Using Garrett Gt3076 turbo with pfab log manifold. Should I order the .82 or 1.06 exhaust housing. My thinking was get the bigger housing to aleviate some of the backpressure of the log mani. Is this correct.
Thanks for any info and helping a turbo noob.

1. 3" is harder to fit and not really necessary, but why not
2. search, the part # is there
3. Are they good? Depends on who you ask
4. If you will be fine with around 400, then dont mess with fuel pump now if you dont want to
5. Idk

From what I've read in other threads, .82 seems ideal for the S2k because it spools fast but still makes good top end power. 1.06 wouldn't spool as quick. I don't know if a bigger hot side would reduce exhaust pressure much. Doubt it'd be enough to compensate for the log mani. I'd stick with .82 unless you are trying to make huge numbers.
Larger IC piping would flow more, but it would also have a larger volume to fill. Meaning before boost can build in the motor it has to fill in all that piping. Easiest way to size it is to call pfab and ask what's appropriate for your power goals.

Thanks for the replies. I emailed kwerks about there fitting and im gonna go with 2.5 in on the piping I guess. As far as the turbine housing im looking for 450ish max. I know the bigger housing spools slower but how much are we talking. I dont track the car so immediate spool is not really an issue. One other question I went to order my tial q bov and it comes with different weight springs depending on engine vaccum. My car cannot be ran at the moment to measure vaccum. What size spring do I need for a stock ap2 engine.

I have the dw1300s. Start up has been pretty good. I'm having a bit of a struggle getting them to idle perfect but that's probably has more to do with me and
My tune then the injectors.
