Trying to eliminate the secondary air iniection system completely. So far have found this from a member named sideways. Anyone ever tried this? Trying to clean up engine bay especially removing the egr looking thing on the intake manifold side.

I've done it, no issues

You can cut a decent portion out with a bandsaw/sawsall. Most of it will probably need grinding off.

It makes the bottom bolt closest to the firewall way easier to get to. That is probably the biggest upside for me.

You will have to find a way to block the fresh air injection hole in the intake manifold. Its about .5" diameter.

Thats exactly why i want to grind it off. Space is tight back there. By fresh air injection is that fresh exhaust or intake air?

The air pump under the driver headlight pumps fresh air (at certain times) into the exhaust ports of the head.
