Divided vs undivided hot side HP difference

I'm ordering my last round of parts for my turbo build and I've heard that the divided Hotside on the gtx series turbos chokes the power in the upper rpm. I have a PFab divided mani and the gtx3582R with a 1.06 divided Hotside. Should I swap that for a normal gt35 1.06 Hotside? I know I'll lose a little on the spool speed, but if it will be a 50hp difference on 93 + meth then I'll sacrifice a little bit of spool. Hoping for 550 on pump and meth and 600+ on ms109. Lets hear your opinions.

Top end really doesn't matter much unless you are going to just use the car as a drag car. For the street or track you want more low to mid range power and tq. I would stay with the GTX for it will produce more power throughout the powerband then the gt35.

I mean just swapping the Hotside housing. Keeping the gtx compressor wheel and all, but putting a 1.06 undivided Hotside on the divided PFab mani. It wouldn't be truly divided all the way to the compressor, but I am wondering if I would retain 80% of the "quick spooling" characteristics the divided mani with gtx series turbos have, but still have top end power for occasional highway pulls and such.

I like doing things different... you should have the divided housing extrude honed to increase its A/R and give it that "perfect flow texture" on the inside.

True, forgot Joey had a divided gt35. He made 580 on pump and meth before switching to q16/c16 (forgot what he runs). I want to get a reliable, no meth 375ish hp, good fun 550ish street tune for weekends and a 600+ ms109 tune. We'll see if she gets there. Real Street should be tuning it late October I believe.
