Dr Jekyll's 2.4l Build (updated 6/13/18)

So i ended up cracking a few sleeve liners and figured i might as well stroke it right? The plan is to use darton dry sleeves in a new block, inline pro 2.4 rods, K24 crank, weisco pistons (10:1), and upgrade a whole bunch of other stuff while im at it. Ive got all the big parts ordered and i still need to have the sleeves put in. Im also changing manifolds from a LoveFab mini me to a LoveFab GT2 mani, so ill have to change the IC piping a bit and relocate the oil filter. Ill be adding an oil cooler as well this time. Im also adding a fuel surge tank. the end power goal is only 550whp but im hoping for around 425wtq or more maybe. still using my GTx3076. so here are some pics before and some of the carnage.

So ill be updating this as new parts come in and as i get my motor back together

What a beaut! U sir have class. Nice mix of form & function. Getting the job done. Were they the flanged ones? Or r u using the flanged drys this time?

Bad tank of gas?

Nice keep us posted. Tearing into the block always scares me. For some reason it always seems like its on a whole another level. Probably cause it is haha.

They were straight non-flanged ones, but im going with the flanged interlocking ones now, and from what i have heard it seems that those type of sleeves when used in conjunction with a block guard will have a tendency to crack.

also, any one have any opinions on the spec or clutch masters twin disk clutch ?

Ya they look a lil thin, the flanged ones have extra thickness right where urs cracked/weakened to so should be good for a beating. How long did those non flanged ones last you?
