Default Engine build up where ?

Just bought a 2003 s2000 with a broken rod and a hole in the block.
My plane is 650 HP to the cranck.
I spoke to Mik from Laskey Racing and he sounds like a great guy.
Just wanted to know what do you experienced guys think of them as far as a compete engine build including the head work.

Laskey builds a good motor. If I'm not mistaken they use Benson Sleeves, CP Pistons and Rings, Pauter Rods, Micropolished Crank, and OEM Bearings. Earl Laskey, the founder had been building motors from his childhood until the day he left us.

In my old S2000 I had their blocked matched up to an Alaniz Technologies Racing Head. Alaniz isn't really as well know for their head work as they used to be, however when he was on his game he did amazing work.

My S2000 made 501whp Low Boost on 93 Octane & 597whp High Boost on C16. The tune was complete crap - I've had several different tuners look at the map and they informed me that it was junk. With a proper tune, the car could have made much more power.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have the full motor (head and block) built by the same shop.. to ensure it all works well together.

Laskey Racing is very well know, however you also might want to consider Inline Pro. They do their own in house sleeving! They've been in the Automotive scene since 97' and hold a number of World Records!

You won't go wrong with laskey. They built my current block and head which is putting down 585 whp at 18 psi on 92 octane. I would highly recommend them.

You can't go wrong with Mike Laskey. He and Port Flow Design built my head.
