A/F gone wild

Hello folks,

Recently I changed the exhaust from The original I got tuned on to a different one. Now my air fuel gauge shows the ratio bouncing around at idle. (From 13.1-16.xx) I'm not sure if it's coincidence but I am in need of some guidance, please.

If I turn on the A/C it will hover correctly

Turbo car with AEM wideband to view A/F

What ECU? It seems to be working hard trying to get the AFR right. The AC will put some load on the engine. Of course this could be a flaky sensor or gauge.

check for air leaks by exhaust/manifold/sensor area

Great idea! I will check. Do you think maybe the muffler shop didn't weld it right? ( It's a cat-back system)

The DBW cars come with a wide band sensor at the end of the exhaust headers. The stock ECU needs a wide band there it so I'm guessing your AEM is a secondary sensor just for the display? If that's the case you can read the AFR ECU data from your data logs or directly on a smart phone or tablet if you have the bluetooth capable FlashPro. At idle mine is locked at 14.7 and only varies when the engine is revved or the car being driven.

Hey y'all,

I'm still having trouble with the a/f. It bounces and if I accelerate the car stutters and the AEM gauge reads 10.0 af.
When I had this issue before, the tune shop said it was the o2 sensor. Replaced it and no help.

Funny thing is that before the tune the A/F was stable.

Please help, I'm tired of not enjoying the car.

Hey EOE,

I'm still having this issue. Any suggestions?
