Fuel neck warm and tank very pressurized...
I just had the kraftwerks kit put on about two weeks ago and now my fuel tank is getting very pressurized and the tank fill neck gets warm... I think it's the EVAP system what can I do to correct the problem?

Your evap tank may be full of fuel. I'd try pulling it and see if you can drain it or remove the system altogether.

did you happen to install a fuel pump wiring kit as well?
|
On what engine management system are you? I've heard AEM doesn't play nice with the EVAP system.

Infinity... also several people have recommended that I check/ change the fuel cap... I bought another one this morning and so far have not had the same problem but we will see how it goes after the weekend.

Happened to me with Emanage piggyback one time during a hot day when I took her out of storage and drove her home pretty hard. So I’m not so sure it HAS to do with EMS. It reeked of fuel, tank was hot, hissed forever when you carefully tried to open the gas cap. Scary tbh. I got a new cap just in case and 3 years later it’s still fine and never happened again. Weird. |
Got a new gas cap and drove it yesterday pretty hard and it happened again... this time it was really scary because it took over 2 mins for all the pressure to be released and when it was done I heard some kind of noise coming from the tank.

In the future when you fill up with gas always stop filling on the first click, don't wait a few seconds and ad more. |
