Fuel pump staging
I am running a twin walbro 450 setup and wanted to know how to set up the system so the pumps are staged to come on. Do I have to run a separate wire to the ems to trigger it that way or is it something that is as simple as changing a parameter in the ecu. I am running fullblown’s twin pump hanger setup and had walbro 255’s in it before which both ran at the same time. Thanks.
The Supra guys with double and triple pumps and skylines running high flow twin Bosch pumps have had issues with running too much fuel at idle and fouling up plugs. They’ve also warmed up the fuel some because it is constantly returning unused fuel to the tank. I don’t want to run into this issue running the twin 450’s.
AP1Chief- did you have to wire it separately to the ems? I’m running the infinity.
riceball- nothing extreme yet. Fullrace divided manifold with a 6466 and inline pro built head with 2000cc injectors. Looking for a mid to low 9 second run with this setup. Still need to do the trans and rear, t56 with an 8.8.

I run dual Bosch 044 pumps staged on my Integra . The second pump turns on at 1 psi . Running both pumps all the time heats the fuel and puts a high load on the alternator . I do have a stand alone ecu to do this though .
