Gauges?

Like the title says I am trying to decide on gauges for my new greddy kit. I am not sure what gauges are really neccesary. I already have the SOS 2 gauge pod, so which two should i get. I was thinking Boost and OIL pressure. I was also told a wideband O2? ANY recomendations, and why?

Thanks,
Matt

get boost so you can keep an eye on your boost pressure! that way if something is wrong and it is spiking or not making the right amount of boost you will know! For the second i would do a wideband. You get to keep an eye on your air/fuel ratio! If it goes to lean you might blow up! I think those are the 2 most essential....to me anyways! Good luck!

:stupid:

I have a autometer boost and oil pressure gauge along with an AEM wideband.I have the boost and wideband installed in the SOS pods..waiting for someone to make a 3 pod so i can mount the oil pressure gauge.

I've got a wideband O2, boost gauge, and oil pressure. All AEM.

Thanks for the responses....

So we are 100% on a boost gauge. I really like the defi gauges that are blacked out, but it doesnt appear they have a wideband O2. I have heard alot about the AEM,is there anyone else who makes a respectable( and clean looking) wideband O2?

Any suggestions on where to purchase?

I think the AEMs are amongst the cleanest.

Bah I have every gauge that you can think of!

However A/F, Boost, and Oil pressure are all very important.

:iagree:

Thanks for the pics. I see you have two gauges in the pod and then a seperate on the dash. Ireally wanted to stay with 2 gauges for the cosmetic factor but i am also concerned about knowing if there is an issue before major damage occurs......That being said, not from a tuning perspective but saftey(monitoring) perspective what two(if only two) should be at the top of my list.

Sorry to keep posing the same question, i was just under the initial impression that a wideband O2 is important for tuning, but monitoring oil pressure on a daily basis would be more beneficial.

Thanks
