Default getting a new setup

I just recently purchased a tubular ramhorn manifold and I was wondering what turbo to use. I know the popular ones are the 6265 & 6262, but my power goals aren't that high. My current power goal is 400WHP and I don't really ever plan to go over 500-550WHP. So I guess my question is, why not go with a 6076 or 5252? Wouldn't they have a faster spool and be better for my power goals? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt H.

Here is a picture of my setup

A 5857 or GT3076R should spool nice and fast while easily hitting your goals.

I've been thinking about this some more and don't want to steer you wrong. To clarify, here are the power ranges I think most people hit with various turbos on the S2000. (Correct me if I'm wrong, guys.)
GT3071R: 400-450whp.
5857: 400-450whp.
GT3076R: 425-500whp.
GTX3076R: 500-550whp.

It also depends on what A/R you run. The mainstream choice here seems to be GT3076R, .82 a/r. Go with a bigger hotside, like 1.06, if you want slower spool but more top end power. Smaller hotside if you want fastest spool and don't care so much about big numbers.

So, you really need to know for sure that you only want 400, or might want to hit 550, before picking a turbo. If you're not sure, then go with the GT3076R because it'll give you some room to grow.

But before you buy anything, find out exactly what turbine inlet flange you've got on that manifold. If you aren't sure and the seller doesn't know either, just measure the rectangular opening and the bolt spacing on the flange, then compare it to the standard flange sizes. SPD Exhaust shows the measurements in their online catalog:

What is the difference between the 5857 & 5252? They are both the same size with and both are capable of 600hp? I don't really understand the A/R of the Turbo. What A/R should I be looking for?

I have no problem spending the extra money on the 5857. I just needed to know it was worth it. I was looking at the entry level turbos because I didn't know the difference between them. So, the 5857 will match my current and future power goals, while giving a relatively fast spool?

What A/R are you running? I will be using E-85 as well.

.83, on your manifold you should see better spool and more power..

AS you can see, I've got considerable lag, but put a better flowing manifold on there.. and I bet you would have a monster on your hand, Im actually getting a pfab ELT next year and strongly considering running another 5857 on that manifold and shootin gfor high 500 with serious spool..
