Grams, AEM or Walbro Fuel Pump for SC Build - Which is Preferred?
Vortech SC build on '00 AP1 aiming for 350-400WHP. Been looking at fuel pump options. Not planning on running E85.
This Grams any good? Grams Performance 255Lph Generic Fuel Pump Kit | Evasive Motorsports
Does the AEM 320LPH need a higher gauge wiring than stock? AEM 320L In Tank Fuel Pump Kit | Evasive Motorsports
Walbro 255LPH good enough? Is it too noisy? Walbro Fuel Pump - 255LPH (HI PRESS.) | Evasive Motorsports
Any recommendations, advice, etc welcome

Grams is crap and AEM 320 is not recommended unless you upgrade the factory wiring.
Walbro GSS342 is the correct model and that's what I would recommend for you my friend, and no I don't think its noisy at all
LHT recommends them and use them on all their SC setups, skip to 1:35 for fuel pump comparison.

I've used an aem320 with great success, now on a walbro450 to squeeze out a little more fuel but ended up being limited by the turbo haha. For your goals it seems a 255 should be fine but yes, that pump is loud. The aem primes like a mother but operates like stock (quiet). The walbro450 is quiet all around. Regardless what pump you use install the sos fuel pump wiring kit.

I was concerned about the AEM needing upgraded wiring which you clarified it does. I'll watch this video too.

I ran most of all the fuel pumps out there. They will all support your power goals. I started with the walbro 255 then i went to the aueromotive 320 then the aem 320 and now i run the walbro 450. And not to long ago them came out with the walbro 525. They all cost about the same and if your going through the trouble of changing the pump you might as well go for the walbro 450 or 525. I highly recommend the science of speed fuel pump rewire kit no matter which pump you get. The stock fuel pump wiring is very small and will not provide enough power to the after market pumps. Sometimes you can get away with the stock wiring with a walbro 255 but after a while the pump is known to flow less with the stock wiring. Plus this pump is very loud and it can get annoying. All the other pumps are quiet like stock. Back 8+ years ago everybody ran the 255 because there no no other options besides a external pump like a aueromotive a1000. Now a days there is no point to run a 255
Just get the walbro 525 and the sos rewire kit.

Does anyone know what flow rate fuel pump Vortech supplied with their '04-05 V2 kits?
