Greddy Turbo Upgrade GT3071R?
 

Hey everyone im planning to upgrade my turbo in my Greddy kit to the Garret model but wanted to make sure i was ordering the right one since all the threads are not very specific and i dont know a ton about it. Mr.Novak did it and said all the flanges and everything fit right up no problem just need to line in the coolant and make some braket for the actuator. Is this the turbo set up from atpturbo.com that i shoudl get?

GT3071R-WG Dual BB, 86AR, 90 Trim Turbine, Ball Bearing Turbo

Based upon the same turbo as the HIGH flowing, larger framed GT3071R, but conveniently packaged into the same style turbine housing as the popular GT28Rs/GT2871R turbos. This turbo is uniquely configured with its own turbo wheel trim, turbine A/R, and compressor housing. Unlike, the GT28RS and GT2871R, this turbo now has a much larger compressor housing to support the much higher flowing 71mm compressor wheel. Comes with T25 style inlet flange.

Just want to make sure i get teh best one that will also fit. Also im told the bracket needed is easy to do but ive never had an internal wastegate before so why is the bracket needed and where does it go?

Thanks alot for the help, i have the 3mm HG and meth and BC so this seems like the next logical step, and my turbo seals are leaking anyway and smoking on startup :)

Do a search, there's an entire thread as to what turbo is needed, etc.

I'd go with the .63 AR instead of the .86. Quicker spool and even though the top end won't be as high, it's not going to be extremely noticeable power-wise.

Yeah get the .63 ar, I would like to see a gt28 given a try

With a 3mm head gasket I'd probably go with the .86. You'll be limited by the manifold well before the turbo...

yeah i looked around on the forum but couldn't really get specifics on which turbo, maybe im not search savy. AFs2k - then is the turbo i listed at the top my best option for fittment and power? Thanks alot for the advice.

It'll fit. You'll need to make modifications like in the link above.

But if you are looking for fast spool, go smaller. If you want numbers, go with the .86.

Personally I'd go with the .63 just for the spool at the track. Again, if you just want numbers... .86.

i like the idea of the .63 but i just dont understand which options and flanges and housing and all that to pick in order to get the right one the will mount to the greddy dp and other pipes. I see in the other posts that people use the GT3076R which i found

but there are like 15 options and i have no idea which one to order. im just new to actually piecing something like this together and making it right, installing it is no problem.
