Default head gasket

hi im about to boost my cr and have a couple questions for you guys, one are the head gasket and studs the same on the f20 and f22? and also what is your guys opinion on a 3mm head gasket? i already have the cometic one and im looking to top off at about 500 whp with a gt30 turbo and inline pro log mani, just need a few more parts to start putting it on. Any opinions would be great and also any ideas on ecu's would help me out thanks guys!

yes get a 3mm (or even bigger!) headgasket

for tuning, just get a chip off ebay

that is the perfect manifold for your power goal

studs are the same, i would imagine the head gasket is too

good luck!

I have a 3mm HG for sale. You will have to replace the outer layers but its for a bomb price! The 3mm HG works fine for power under 500 and you can make a lot of power on pump gas with it and the log mani. If you don't run the 3mm on that log manifold, you'll only make like 380-400hp.

save urself a headache and never install a 3mm hg, go oem hg, if u want more power upgrade your manifold, and for ecus i would go with haltech platinum sport or aem ems

the only reason i would install the 3mm is to lower the comp a little more, its not like i have to do a hg i only have 23k on the car, just asking for ideas cause i get back and forth answers

if u want 500 on pump gas upgrade ur manifold, i mean if ur dead set on making 500 with a log then throw the 3mm hg in, but it will blow, u will replace it, it will blow again..

Your best bet is to go with a better flowing manifold. Ditch the headgasket and the arp headstuds. OEM is fine.

This^^

Take a look at the Real Street thread, they were on stock gasket, head bolts ect ect @ 700+ whp

Mani is going to hold you back more than compression ratio at this point.
