Default Help a french guy...

"I change my post on good section"

Hello everybody

I prepare to modify my S2000.

But I hesitate between Supercharger (with Aftercooler) and a 2.3 Stroker kit.

In France, we go more quickly on the road in general : 100 mph minimum on motorway

So many people disadvised to me installing a Supercharger (i prefer Vortech) because mechanics suffers too much.

What do you advise me? Stroker kit 2.3 or Supercharger.

Thanks for all

going 100 mph in the ap1 with normal gears you will be right out of vtech, i engage vtech at 110 in 6th gear i wouldnt think it would be a problem. btw thats sounds like fun.. add some twisties to youre drive to work and you can get in some good practice

Better yet...you may be French but you can obviously read and write English...See the button at the top of the page that says "Search?"
Search for the dynos on both and see if you like what you see. I wouldn't worry about the internals of the motor running a stock supercharger kit. Don't let that be a factor because they've been shown to be pretty darn reliable.

I have beed boosted for 40.000 km with SC and Turbo as well, tracked the car, drove going 100 mph on highway and did not have any problem... well just a fine.

If the car is tune correctly and does not run to much boost the internal will handle, some member here has more than 100.000 miles with a Supercharger. there is a shop in France who installed an Ultimate Racing turbo kit 3 years ago, you can ask them. I will find the address.

Ok for that and thanks to answer in French.

I forgot to say to you guys that I make circuit (race) with my S2000 every month (Magny-Cours for example...).

Is Supercharger sufficiently reliable for this kind of use ?

Since you have a F.I. car used similarly to what the OP has planned, your post is the only one here that has real world credibility.
