Help me decide
Im trying to decide whether or not to go turbo or supercharged. i was suppose to originally get a supercharger and fmic that fell thru. I know this is an on going discussion and yes i have researched all last night and today and i still need help. i want to only boost around 6 to 7 pounds max and i have a vafc2 already. There is only a few places believe it or not that you can tune in North Carolina so that plays a factor as well. I just want enough power so in traffic i dont have to down shift to go around someone. Basically do i go with a smaller turbo that will boost faster for around town driving or a supercharger? Basically with the supercharger i have read it only boost where we already have vtec. If that is the case i want to go turbo but how well will the reliablity be boosting 6 to 7 pounds. I have read that the s2000 motors are already built from the factory.. Sleeved with forged pistons?? Is that correct? I know that a hondata head gasket to lower compression to 9:1 may be needed. What smaller turbine if i went turbo would you recommend?? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I hear good things about the lovfab kit.

if you're looking for low end umph, go small turbo. you'll proabaly only boost 6-8 lbs, so a head gasket will not be necissary. Revhard makes a decent kit. I've driven one and it picks up at around 3k rpm. not bad. fairly inexpensive kit too.
BTW, your thread title sux bad. |
Editing thread title. "need help ASAP" Doesn't do much to describe your question.

Thanks for editing.. still kinda torn though.

Might want to wait for the roots kit to be completed before you make your ASAP decision.

^ I agree, otherwise a standard LoveFab kit @ 7-8psi will improve daily driveability a LOT. I rev my car to 5k only and do not downshift to pass cars.

Holy crap where do I start....

While having a turbo is fun, you are looking for reliable power that doesn't require tuning. This is not an easy assignment for a turbo. Just my opinion, take it as you will. |
