Help me judge this engine

Hi all,

I have no intention to FI within the next 1-2 years, but my engine has popped and the only blocks I've had come by have all had either inconsistent compression (235/210/210/235) or relatively high mileage.

There's a built long block with 0 miles for sale from Tennesse (I'm in California) that lists the following mods. The owner seems to be really straight and is taking pics of all receipts for me. He says he has an exact clone of this block in his car, running about 650whp. Is this a bad engine to daily because of the forged pistons and the increased ring gap? I probably would drive this car 1-2x a week, and hit the track every month or so. I don't put a lot of miles on it.

Also worth nothing - it's an F20C engine going into my 2004 AP2. He's providing the AP1 ECU.

Anyways, here's the build specs:
CP 87mm Pistons 11.1:1
CP Rings
Darton Sleeved Block
OEM Valve Seals
New Valves
OEM Head Gasket
ACL Rod Bearings
ACL Main Bearings
Hondabond Gasket Sealer
ARP Rod Bolts
Skunk2 Alpha Rods
Head w/ AP2 retainers , supertech valve train.
Ap2 banjo bolts

Seller is shipping the entire long block from the valve cover to the oil pan. He wants $4k + shipping.

Any advice is appreciated. I know very little about engines.

I've no clue is that's a good engine but what happens when the engine arrives and it's a POS? Why would you implicitly trust the seller since you (and I) know very little about engines? I'd trust an OEM engine more than one with unknown (to me) aftermarket parts. Maybe. :) Ebay buyer protection?

Walk away. Or buy a good used oem longblock. Junk2 rods is a dead giveaway. I dont think ACL bearings come in to many sizes either so that means to blueprint it they HAVE to be perfect (which is never the case) so what gives you ask? The rods have to be bored/honed and or the mains ... or if they are really stupid and cut the crank down. Recipe for disaster, not to mention if the bearings dont have a perfect machine fit they wont bleed off the heat properly. Engine building is an art. Honestly without knowing who built it i would not gamble on some random picaso making it right.
