Default Hitting boost cut off.

Well am actually taking it back to Jeff next week after he gets back from sema.
But i would like to know why am hitting the boost cut off at 17.1 psi
Am very ignorant when it comes to boost contollers, he told me to try setting my boost and set gain down.
I set it from 20% which was set for 14.5 psi as low as 2% along with set gain from 60 as low as 0.
What happens when i hit boost cut off: basically i WOT it when it reaches around 5500 rpm it just goes off on boost cut off.
Sometimes i actually make it thru 5500 rpm and spool with no problem and pretty much take off like a bat outta hell.
But very rarely, it wierd at low boost i have no problem what so ever.
Any idea on what the problem would be?

Marcus

PS. i have this boost controller http://www.alamomotorsports.com/greddy/grprofecb.htm

Some more details may help. What kind of controller, what turbo set up, are you using AEM EMS to run the wastegate etc etc.

The Boost controller is on my first post its a GReddy Profec B Spec 2
I have the Ultimate Racing Kit GenII
Hate to sound like a noob but i have no clue if the AEM EMS is running the wastegate.

If you are using the Profec then you aren't using the EMS as a boost controller. I've never messed with one, so I have no decent advice to give

What is your VTEC set for? Maybe you are low on oil and you cant engage VTEC? When I had my UR kit, I think I had VTEC set for right about 5500 rpm.
