What were the ambient temperatures and final gear ratios for each car in the comparison? J/k

I just skimmed your thread quickly and saw 468.

Mate get the TTS Race Kit and run e85. Don't do anything else.

Welcome to 500hp.

I'm at 426 rwhp dynojet (380 dyno dynamics) 8.3 psi with a SOS II using pump gas. But I have some other mods if you look at my sig.

The HKS car is getting somewhere around 425 HP. Thats with a smaller
pulley and rev limited to 8500 rpm as you'd overspin the charger at
9000rpm. Theres no limit relly but RPM's. I think HKS wants
this to be a DD and track duty kit with a reliable 360-400 HP.
From what I hear it keeps the same power curve as stock just twice as
much power. A perfect track beast. That's what I want it for. Not
straight speed but useable power.

Is it using a rotrex blower, or something different?

It's using a rotrex. I like that they put it beside the engine.
Wrap the manifold, and a heat shield and I think it's in the
perfect place. Also I'd duct in air to the intake.

Personally I prefer the location of the kraftwerks / tts rotrex unit, in front of the motor well away from exhaust heat. But as a kw owner, I'm certainly biased.

Any idea which model blower they use?

Any one tried this?

I was (and probably still will) get the SOS Stage 2 kit but I like the quietness of the HKS supercharger and the fact that weight and placement have been taken into account. I also read that the HKS charger produces more torque low down then the SOS kits but I don't buy that since it makes less power overall anyway and if it was making more low down power then by the time it revved to 9krpm it would be out of efficiency.

Thanks for any tips.

My hks kit is now nearing a good tune and pushes out 11.1 psi at 9146rpm. If you want a very fast s2000 that handles and feels like a s2000 in every way but has great FUN performance don't over look this kit. Having an sos kit with100 whp extra may be a little faster in a straight line if you can get traction. But as the wheels spin at legal speeds in the lower 3 gears at less than 50% throttle (winter conditions) (Waiting for summer) with my 10" 265 18s. I know I wouldn't corner any faster with more power. This kit is not the most powerful but adds about 130 whp and takes nothing away. With 330-340whp a S2000 is not the fastest but is a great car that IS very fast.
As far as heat due to its location is concerned with Temps only maxing out at 16c at this time there is no issue. 30+ I will have to wait and see.
