The spacer is to align the pulleys, it’s needed since the bigger blower is slightly longer front to back. Not sure about issues on the bigger blower, it’s been used on BMW supercharger kits for a while.

You might get away without the spacer as the HKS kit only uses the 6 ribs of the superchargers drive pulley. You might be able to move the belt further along. That would probably give you a 1mm-2mm or maybe abit more

The spacer is more than double that size. At $90 to fabricate was a no-brainer for me.

Are the mountings points pcd the same onto the plate? So you just need a spacer and longer bolts to fit? looks like a great little project.

So looks like it will be a while before I finish this project sadly, transferring to Hong Kong for a couple years and won’t have time before I leave. I’ll be back every couple months and maybe I’ll make some progress then. Fingers crossed
