I was in the same boat...and finally decided to go with the comptech w/aftercooler. The sc makes world of difference...at least for me.

I'm desperately waiting for my kit to arrive...

maybe he didn't want to keep up the maintainence on a turbo setup. A supercharger is much more user friendly for those not so mechanically inclined, or those who are not willing to deal with the occasional headache (this isn't a diss to anyone with a SC, xviper is much more mechanically inclined than I, and so are several other members I can think of off the top of my head)..... Maybe he was a bit skeptical and wanted something he knew was reliable for over 50k miles... It's all relative... this turbo vs SC BS is getting old... Different strokes for different folks.

It seems like every thread, someone says this at a random time. I don't want to deal with the issues or the cost. I just don't have the resources around me for tuning or problem solving. I can't even find someone around me to tune a VAFC. The Comptech seems like a proven kit, and the majority of people that have it love it.

I also just ordered a Defi Link II with Boost, Oil Pressure, and Oil Temp with the Greddy filter sandwich from Steve@Evolution. I hope to have hardtopguy mount the gauges in the dash between the driver and passenger seats.

You won't be disappointed. I wanted Joe/Jeff to replace my clutch and next thing I know I am 'charged! They did the work, too. Now I'm just tweaking it a little.

Not sure how small you can go pulley-wise on the AP2's. Honestly, I'd just put it on as-is and enjoy it.

I was forever debating between a turbo or sc...and I finally decided on sc.

If I'm unhappy with sc...I can always sell the kit and go turbo. It's much easier and feasible to go sc-->turbo then turbo-->sc. Besides, I can always spray for low end power...heheh.

That's gonna look HOT.

Be sure to post pics when it's done.

I hope so. I just got the EGT gauge as well. I want to mount a gauge above the Start button as well.

I think that is what I am going to do. I will probably go with the Spearco FMAC.

Do you guys think I need to upgrade my clutch, or can I get by without. I don't track, and will not be doing clutch drops.
