ID 1000's and E85?
#2
If they are anything like my RC1000's, they should get to around 575-600 whp from what my tuner tells me. But they will have to be run at around 95% duty and the fuel pressure may have to be turned up pretty high. The new twin fuel system will allow for the higher fuel pressures that you wouldn't be able to get away with on the single pump..

ID 1000cc inj. you can push 500 whp if you have a good fuel pump. one walbro 255 will not cut the mustard, like camuman said you will need some kind of dual pump setup or even better a single pump that can support that volume of fuel at a given PSI. The 2000cc inj. will support way more power than you will be able to make, and with e85 it will idle just fine with the proper tuning, but again dont forget "fuel pump".

Sorry guys, but your wrong. STL has made 620hp on his ID1000s. Camuman, the whole reason for asking how much power can be made with the ID1000s and e85 is because the ID2000 are ridiculously expensive right now.

i didnt look at price, just i knew your already at 600. there not gonna go that much further on e85. and pump def wont go there.
i also liked them cuase i saw the video of the id2000 in stock gsr and it was idleing like a champ, and was tuned at like something retarded 10% duty cycle and still made better power then oem injectors.
well, my guess on the 1000 is 600-650 on e85.

I understand an extra fuel pump would be required. That wasn't my question. I just want to know what the limit is of the ID1000s and E85, not what else is need to push the ID1000 to it's limit
camuman, I hear what your saying. The ID2000's are amazing injectors, but for $1000 I'd rather wait. Granted, with E85 I'll maybe make an extra 30-40 more hp where I am at right now with only the ID1000's, however, I've only had the car for two years and have had two turbo kits 3 different turbos, 3 different sets of injectors, AEM meth injection, 93 oct, 110 oct plust several different wheels and tire combos and other appearance mods. I've spent way to much money on this car in such a short amount of time. It seems like many members on here who are pushing the same kind of power have taken much longer to do so (which I think is the smart way to do it). Since I've bought the s2000 I have had a total of one month in two summers to really enjoy the car since it's always down for new upgrades. If I push the car more then what it is currently at I'm going to have to spend at least another $10,000 on the car just to upgrade the rear end and transmission. At 589 hp, the car is a monster and a blast to drive. I want to enjoy it and stop throwing thousands of dollars into it every other week. That is why I have not been on the forum as much lately. Every time I am on here, I find myself getting the biggest bug up my butt to upgrade to something else.... Damn you guys.
I'm also sick of spending $6.50 a gallon when I can get the same power if not more plus the cooling factor of E85 and spend $2.09 a gallon. Will I continue to upgrade the car? Of course, I just need to slow down and enjoy the car for once. I'd still like to get the bracket done that I have been talking about this winter and if someone comes up with a "cheaper" solution on the trans rather then PPG's dogbox I am all over it. But again it is really hard to get more out of the car without spending a lot more money. I was suppose to get the full blown fuel system, but I just cannot spend the money on it right now. I'll more then likely spend $300 on an a1000 and feed my walbro 255 into it and call it a day for now. I cannot even go to the tack now without a 12pt roll cage.

damn i hear ya. well then screw it, do it and see what ams can pull from is. even if you drop some hp, its not like its a huge deal. hypothetically, if you made 550whp and were now only spending 2.09 a gallon that would be worth it.
you'l be near/at what you have now, just maxxed out is my guess. i really think though your gonna need a second pump, even if its inline.
1 month in two summers absolutely sucks. stop upgrading! and enjoy.
