Increase power

Hi all,

I own a 2009 Honda S 2000. I’m planning to upgrade the performance. Has anyone tried this before? I searched online and found a blog about modifying engine for a better performance (http://www.serviceplus416.com/servic...r-performance/).
Supercharge or Turbo, which one is the safest and best method to increase the performance? Please share your experience.

Thanks in advance.

Hey bro, I feel like I should reply to this post because I was once in your shoes.
I knew what I wanted which was more power, but because I live in So Cal i had restrictions (CARB laws). I wanted a DD so I decided to go with a SC, more efficient and effective for me. I did my research on the SC kits and asked questions. I ended up going with the CT-E SC because it was CARB legal in So Cal, again my options were limited because of California's anal CARB standoards. I like to be legit and safe bacause out here cops can pull you over and impound your car, smog stations are scared of getting caught passing illegally modified S2ks, and we even have random Smog stations on the streets, kind of like DUI checks.
Moving along, I had my kit installed by some amazing guys in HB. My first Dyno numbers were very sketch, I was making around 250whp. My tuner found out that the ACM unit (piggyback) that came with the CT-E kit was not programmed correctly for my 00'. Couple of weeks later the tuner was able to make adjustments to the ACM along with a bored out 70mm TB and IM. @6psi I was making 280whp, normal for this kit. Couple of months later I wanted more power, but again the CARB issue kept me from going crazy. Don't get me wrong there are many of us that say F that and end up going 400whp+, shoot I wish I could do that, but naw I have to much to lose.
Finally, my tuner was able to install a smaller pulley that would give me 8psi. I ended up making 315whp 197wtrq. I was content with those numbers and safe. I'm pretty much finished with engine mods. I'm going to wait a few years to start on the body.
I hope this helps you in making a decision.
Good luck,
