See the pics I attached of the modified bracket. What do you think? Are you talking about the L bracket that mounts in between the 2 stock allen screws in the middle of the timing chain as being a weak point?

no I’m referring to this mounting location in this picture. The sos and comptech both use this bolt hole to give the vtec bracket strength. The modified bracket you sent me doesn’t look like it would be strong enough to withstand all the vibration. Who’s bracket is that? Curious to see some other pictures. I assume that bracket that mounts to the spare bolt hole by the header isn’t the only mounting point.

Oh I see now. It's a friend's Suzuka Blue car here in South Africa. Another friend also has a similar modded bracket setup. I'll try to get more pics. Not sure if there's enough clearance for a J's type ETD to fit as intended with his modified bracket.
The standard Vortech bracket doesn't use that hole as far as I know. Need to confirm though.
