Inline Pro vs Laskey block?
 

I´m looking for a solid bottom but can´t decide on sleeve design. Yeah, also thought about stock block and Mahle pistons but feels better to bore new and straight cylinders IMO.

The closed deck (IP) looks a lot stronger but bet the open deck (LR) have better cooling? Drag vs Track? Opinions?

What do you guys have and also, any problems?

Closed Deck less cooling (Not Your Daily Driver)

That's what i based mine on. Also there are at least 20 other companies out there that sleeve motors, so do your research and go with whats in your budget. Had my block done at Darton!

I´ve used Darton sleeves before and they make great parts but thought it would be smarter to buy everything from one place, pistons, rods, bearings and sleeve job.
Only IP and Laskey that sell that what I know of.

I think both are stronger than you would ever need it to be. Despite the closed deck (these are AEBS right?), it'll still have sufficient cooling because they designed cooling passages in the sleeve last I checked. I went batshit on my Prelude awhile back with AEBS sleeves and it held up perfectly fine with no overheating problems haha...

both have great rep on doing the job right. i had a friend have a block built by laskey for his b18c and it was perfect. not sure what IP charges buy laskey is around 3500 for the whole job if i remember right.

dont forget about golden eagle...they got the open deck with the upper brace machined into the sleeve, best of both worlds in my opinion...good cooling, yet still strong up top.

we have a laskey built f22c in our volvo running strong as heck as well.

thank you for the picture. i tried to explain the design the best i could, haha.

As soon as I get the pistons....gonna get started on putting it back together....soon to be boosted between 15 - 20 psi, depending on the tune :LOL:

were running 44psi on one and 37psi on another on ge sleeved blocks.

the laskey block (benson sleeves) has seen 22psi so far. these sleeves are new to me and i dont know how far i can push them with that open deck design.
