Go light. The factory pistons being hypereutectic will not hold up to any pre-ignition.
The AEM has all sorts of features that work with N2O. Go to the AEM site and do a search using N2O and you will get lots of information.
Good luck...and get back to us with your trials and tribulations...we'd certainly enjoy hearing about your progress.

Just to give you a lil perspective, i have a 65shot now on my car... I raced' an srt4 w/ all the bolt on's imaginable and i was able to edge him out, not sure what they run with those mods but i'm guessing very low 13's maybe or better? (I also had 4.77 so that helped me out a little on the start).. If you're going for big power, ditch the zex kit and go direct port... I think the aem is overkill though... There's alot of things already available out there that can help you with safety, msd window switches(nos won't spray above your redline and/or below an rpm threshold u select, like lets say 4k)... Nos cut off switch if the fuel pressure goes below a certain pressure.. Tuning is not too complicated, just read your plugs during your first set of runs... Or have someone experienced read them for you...

I think the zex kits are already set up to run a lil "rich" from the box.. Good luck! I think nitrous is great, but i dont think i'll b trying anything over a 75 wet shot... Anything higher than 75 is alot of power/torque to put through the motor instantly.... Its not like boost where it builds up.... it just hits u! I personally would never go above 75....If i was i'd probably have a 2 stage set up though... where u start with a smaller shot and add the next shot a couple of seconds later...

but if you're like me, you'd probably b switching to turbo/supercharger down the line.. I wanted more power, and my comfort level with nitrous above 75 is not there(just my personal preference), and something about the sound of an F/I s2000 is nice too.. lol Good luck man..

I was thinking Direct Port also. I'm going to be honest with you I purchased an extended warranty on my s thats good for another 100,000 miles and I figured if anything ever went wrong it be alot easier to pull off a a wet kit than replacing that direct port kit. Unless someone has a spare intake manifold they would like to sell.

yea, if you're going for a small shot, 65 or lower, let me know, i'm selling my kit now that i'm gettin my SC, but good luck either way... oh yea, one more thing, most recommend to use 1 step colder copper plugs if under a 75 shot, and replace them more often... good luck

I don't think I would recommend it to you, PRS2k. I've been juicing for about a year now and all it's gotten me (aside from pythons) is acne, a whiny voice, and shrunken genitals.
This goes to disprove the allegation that everyone on S2K boasts of a large phallus.

Just something to keep in mind because I noticed that you said you don't like turbo or SC'ers because of the time or money you had to spend to get it to run right, with an EMS and a Nitrous setup I can only see it taking the same amount of time and money to get it set up correctly with a standalone ecu. I have been down this road already and have seen the headaches with using a standalone first hand so I just figured that I would point that out to you. I can't see how using nitrous or any other power adder for that matter will be different in terms of time/money that will go into making the car run how you want it to. Good luck with your project.
