According to Precision the over all flow numbers but mainly on the top ends of the turbos, it is SUPPOSE to increase on power.
So far on pump we've seen the same numbers produce, haven't really did a dyno overlay to see any differences on the turbos, but everyone has different exhaust systems and what not which would make a hard comparison unless we did a back to back on the dyno. |

How much does the 11.1 compression ratio drop to when the 3mm head gasket comes in play?

Inline-Pro 3mm HG(8.8:1 CR) We'll have to wait until one of the inlinepro staff answers. |
i am pretty positive it is 9.1:1 CR once the IP 3mm is used. Atleast thats what i have been telling people when they ask me about my car

bump because I added pictures!!

let us know how it compares to your sc I'm sure its a night and day difference. I'm considering ditching my vortech setup for a good turbo

Hey Kangaroo
I will be checking this thread out, interesting to read about turbo installation. I did also buy a ILP kit like a month ago, and can tell you about the experience so far. My car started the first time today with the aem ems and ILP turbo kit on. I started it on a basemap I got from Chris at ILP, but the idling was not stable. Checked for vacuum leaks, all sensors etc, but nothing. When I gave it more fuel idling became stable so I could try to get air out of the coolant system. Overall the ILP kit install was alot more crafting and figuring things myself then I had expected. Most annoying thing today was an oil leak from a connector in the ILP oil relocation kit. Was one of those aluminum twistable connectors. Prolly has a bad o-ring inside. Hoses were delivered premade, so it's abit disappointing. Gotta fix that tomorrow somehow. So far I have doubts about if I went the right route when I went ILP, have been alot of circumstances. First with the communication with the company itself, then unforseen trouble with shipping, then delayed replies/messages that were promised to be sent at a certain time. Seem they are very busy. The parts in kit itself is nice and looks to be quality items, but I really disliked the fact they sent me "interccoler upgrade 700hp" when they knew I was going for 330-350whp. This intercooler is so tall it just caused me major headache during installation, not only when the plastics in the front didn't fit, but also later when the front itself didn't fit due to the size. I had to remove some stability bar from the front frame to get everything in place. The injectors did not fit without major mods. No info about this before buying kit. The chargepiping did not fit without being dent on certain spots. No information about this eventhough ILP claims they have experience with shipping kits to Europe. So many things (might partly be the european model being different) that I got no information about whatsoever. Have spent hours after hours to build my own solutions. For example when I was contacting ILP at first I just wanted a few pieces of equipment, which was aem ems, some flanges, a turbo and a fuelpump. I had not much knowledge of the items I needed at that time. I had some nice offers to buy a fuelpump, turbo and aem ems from another place, but when I spoke to Chris at ILP he told me they would deliver ALL the stuff I would need to change the fuelpump. Guess what, all the stuff needed was the pump itself. It feels like ILP have not put the cards on the table when I have spoke with them, and that bothers me alot. (Got many more examples of this) Tuesday this week I contacted Chris to get a basemap sent to me, oh yes I got an email telling that I could look in my mail within a day, he knew all the stuff I had bought and circumstances so he would send it over. At Friday I called him and asked where the map was, then he tells me Brian is out of town and wont be back until Monday, but that he will shoot a basemap over at once. This is the typical situation. Promise to do/send something, end up not seeing it several days later. I get a map, but now I get the impression I did not get the map they were planning to send me based on the setup I had. Pretty much proven today when the car was idling crap and became all good when increasing the fuel at idling speed. It seemed to get too little fuel. I am not going to curse anymore over this, I will just have to change the fuelpart. (yes I was running regular gas for first startup) However, when I call to the them they are very helpful and do what they can to answer my questions. To summarize what the kit costed me so far. Kit and shipping roughly $7000 (with aem ems) ballbearing turbo, oil relocation kit, +some "kits" needed for dit and that. Unforseen extra vat and handling fees and tax from customs $1000 Pressure measurement for fuelpressure $75 Boostpressure measurement for tuning $100 Engine ventilation hoose and filter for it $50 Usb to serial connection(to connect ems to computer) $50 New oil (was just changed before winter storage) $100 New coolant fluid $50 Heatprotection bandage $50 Extra vacuumhoses to replace factory piping that was unuseable $25 Extra lambda connection for tuning $25 Leaking premade hose connection replacement $25 Extra sound isolation material since the walbro 255 is screaming like a pig $50 Welding gas (had to weld alot to get the dumptube into the downpipe) $100 +alot more than expected workhours Expenses to come. Tuner at 14th of May $1200 Got to buy a modifry.com ect module to get the temperature display on the dash to work with the AEM EMS. $75 It adds up fast and will land well above $10000 all in all. There are also alot more expenses partly related to the build that I did not bring up. Hopefully I will be happy about how the car is at the end. As everyone with experience says, -it gets more expensive than expected. If you want any more pictures than provided in the kit, (Installation instructions consists of a few greyscale photos) feel free to pm me. I have plenty of pics from my install. My install pictures are not any guideline, but the pictures gives an idea on how things can be done. Which can be good for your own ideas. |
