That dyno is very typical between ap1/ap2 with all else being equal.

Allot of people invest in headers for our cars and I hate to say don't know what they are investing in. I'm sure some have heard this before, but the stock header is hard to improve on, and with the same 4-2-1 aka TRY Y design. 90% of all these aftermarket headers, J's, DC, Spoon etc are the same design as stock- Try Y. This design works well with N/A 4bangers becuase it offers a broad power band through the scavenging effect of how this type of header flows. A broader power band most of the time makes more sense, certainly being N/A. This design unfortunately isn't as efficient in the upper rpm range like that of a 4-1 type header. If you want measurable gains in a header over stock you have to move to the different design header of the 4-1. This is even more apparent in a Supercharged set up where the boost characteristics increase with the rpms, its a perfect match for the 4-1 type header and how it flows.

Its no accident that Comptech came out with their own 4-1 design header for their Supercharged customers. Speaking of which, Asura just came out with one, there is a thread maybe some of you have come across. This is a limited run FI 4-1 design header for the S2000.

If you want my advice, to maximize your power with the exhaust and save some money in the process, focus on the part of the stock exhaust system where efficiency can be improved if your not going to invest in a 4-1 header, which is the CAT & BACK.

Will KW bring out a base supercharger kit for the 00-04 AP1 ? Cause on the site i only see the youtune and the high boost kit. And there might be people that want a complete package (but not high boost).

280 - 300 whp is enough.

Also, if you got that power at say 4-5k rpm all the way to redline that would be a little different, but remember that power is only felt at the end of the power band, at redline. Its a slow progression up to the point as boost builds with rpm. So if you want to have that kind of power and at a more usable rpm range, you will want more boost.
