I'm going to chime in as I installed a KW 30mm kit on my 06, and found it to be a relatively easy kit to install. I did make changes that i'm very happy with.
Walbro 255 instead of grams pump
SOS fuel pump wiring kit
ARP bolts through drivers side bracket
HKS SSQOV bov instead of diverter valve
Air Filter relocation
I didn't read through your entire thread but it looks like you have or have done most of that already.
The only thing i would do differently which I may still plan in the future is replace the grams injectors with id1050 but they are currently holding up fine so I will probably leave well enough alone.
As far as belt tension, on original install I had it over adjusted as it is very easy to do. I found the best way to adjust the belt tension is tightening the tensioner with your finger until you can no longer spin it and then lock it down with a box wrench. Then check it. I found I was spot on and didn't need to make any further adjustments. Having it be that loose felt like it went against my 17 years of being a technician but its been holding up well.

as far as sounds it flutters on deceleration on high rpm shifts it sounds a lot like a turbo car

Several people on this thread have mentioned upgraded brackets and mounting. I e-mailed Kraftwerks and they say there have been no upgrades to the kit since the 30mm belt conversion. Where do these upgraded brackets come from?
