You and Kevin are just crazy.

As for the OP's questions, I cannot answer 1-6 but I will answer #7 when I start my new thread.

Well speaking for myself on behalf of my wife, I think stupid is a better term.

Also, I assume you specifically requested to have the wastegate routed back into the downpipe?
1. I've haven't had any problems out of my 6262bb yet. Then again I have about 4k miles on my setup since January. Lol.
3.IDK how much the out of the box basemap will lay down on a dyno, but Mase helped me etune my car at 9psi since he didn't have a map at the time. I'm not sure how much it laid down on a dyno though since the tuner mistakenly had it still set for a Motorcycle when they did my baseline pull. In their defense.. they tuned 2 bikes that morning.
I made 254whp on a motorcycle setup dyno though if that helps. ROFL.
Everyone I've seen with the Mase kit has put down 400+whp after proper dyno tuning.
I put 412whp on a Mustang dyno. (This dyno was compared to another dynojet in town, and there was an average of 12% difference. Mustang reading lower then the dynojet. Take this how you will.)
4. k&n filter supplied with the kit hasn't melted or showed signs of doing so, and I've gotten that turbo pretty hot on many occasions.
6. I've been running a CC stage 5. I hated it at first.. now I don't notice its there. Lots complain about how rough and on/off the CC 4/5 is but after a while you get used to it. I drive mine like its still a stock clutch, minus the chatter. 10k miles on it so far.
7. Great kit, great design. Its the first 100% complete kit with a 400+whp guarantee. Easy to install, No need to relocate anything.. not even the oil filter..whats not to like? Overall I'm very happy with it. I love the fact that the turbo mounts in the front of the engine bay without relocating much/anything. That was a main selling point for me, I did not one a bottom mount or a log manifold. The pre-order price was also pretty irresistible. I daily my car and the only problem I've had so far is the hose that U's around the oil filter for the "oil cooler". It managed to make a little hole and start leaking where it bends off from the cooler. Simple fix, plus i got a replacement hose for free. (O'reillys hook up) I can't say it was due to design or a bad hose, as it wasn't touching the manifold nor was the hose kinked. The only thing I'd do differently from the instructions is the return line fitting. Mase says to the pan, assumingly for the ease of returning the car back to stock if needed. Some will argue the placement of this, but I opted for the block/girdle and have not had a single issue with the return backing up. Definitely a lot more fun to drive the car around, love the sound of the turbo and the wastegate (open dump).
See this how you will.. but the only downfall of having this kit that I've had is... 1. Keeping my heavy foot from laying into it.. 2. refer to number 1. Lol It just wraps out so quickly and gains MPH so fast that I literally don't have space to get on it 90% of the time that I feel like it. A car can be 1/8th mile (possible exaggeration) away and cruising 40mph just like I am.. I'll lay into 2nd and when 9k rpms come around.. I'm back into 6th slowing down because if I go any further.. I'll prolly kiss that other car. Long open spaces are only found during long highway drives.. or late nights. ( for the times of day that I drive the car around)
Wonder what Mase plans to do with cracking manifolds? BTW who's was this? I must have missed that thread, and I usually click anything Mase kit related.
Not sure if you care about 1/4 times at all, but mine is in my sig. I really want to put ET streets/slicks and go back but 1. Its a daily.. I would hate to throw 2nd gear or a rear out. 2. I dont have ET streets or slicks, my buddy sold his slicks =(
Hope that helps any.
