Riceball do you mind sharing where you got the wheels widened, where youd recommend them being done, what it cost per wheel, and an honest review of how they balance out? Would appreciate the feedback as that is my goal to keep oem ap2 v1 wheels i think they look perfect and would like to widen them out to properly seat a 265 or 255, it's worth it to me to have the car dialed in just as i want it.

Also the effect if any of a wider wheel, does the car ride same or stiffer? Does the car feel more stable or planted or does it feel abit delayed when turning?

eric vaughn machine: aluminum wheel widening and narrowing

thats where I get my rims widen. And yes they balance out perfect just like any other wheel. Yes the car is much more stable and drive much better with a wide wheel and tire setup when you have well over 500whp.

Riceball, I wonder if Work TC105N's can be widened too? Does it matter how the wheel is constructed?

the nt05r is a drag radial and straigh line grip on is amazing. With a standard 255/40/17 extreme performance tire like a Dunlop z2 or Azeris 615 my car has 0 traction in the first 3 gears. But with the nt05r drag radials I can dead hook even in 1st gear. With the 315\35\17 nt05 non drag radial I can dead hook with 2nd gear.

This is the reason im looking to increase rpm. As you can tell in the video revving the engine out is a huge advantage while racing a manual transmission. Just when your expecting a gear shift the enhine keeps spinning and pulling away. Take for example the subaru guys that run out of gear quick and everyshift they lose distance while racing. Fwd car guys have figured out that reving the engine higher helps them keep that traction planted longer. Thats what im looking for on my street driven s2k

A probably more reliable option there is going for a longer final drive
