Default megan catch can

I was thinking about picking up the Megan Catch Can.
But I want to add a vent to atmosphere like most people have to relieve crank case pressure.

Is it as simple as adding another fitting on top hooked up to a breather filter? Or does the internal design need to be changed?

Yep, I had one of those once.

The top comes off via allen screws, attach a small filter, profit.

just a quick little bit of info ive found out recently. i was looking at catch cans for the s2k and they were all so expensive. even the simplest and smallest design so i decided to waste off 18 bucks shipped for an ebay catch can. and it came in the other day and the build of it is actually really good. really similar to the picture you have above actually. and it doesnt look like its built cheap at all. i did notice it needed longer and better hose for attachment and adding a atmospheric vent to it is the first thing im going to do to it but overall its actually a good product that will work fine for a small amount of money. just in case you want an alternative to the more expensive catch cans.

You are absolutely right man. People get so caught up in the "bling" and forget a very simple concept, Function > Form.

yeah id imagine its the same exact thing .. megan started as an ebay company

I dont see the point of spending big bucks on silly parts either, unless its something critical of course.

i completely agree. im a name brand whore but if its a small piece thats hard to f*** up and i can find a cheaper version... why not. when it comes to bigger parts like turbos, i prefer to pay for the r&d.

when i say big, i dont mean it isnt important. i mean that its a fairly generic design that has been used for years by many companies and there isnt much more profit from r&d and design change. pretty much everyone knows a simple cost effective design that can pre produced at a cheap cost without suffering bad quality. vacuum hoses are a big deal but im not gonna pay $20 per foot for TODA vacuum hose (if they were to come out with such a thing) thats all i mean.

I just capped the ports on my manifold and vented the pcv and other breather on valve cover straight to the ground.
