Metal Shavings and Oil inside Intercooler Piping
Hello,
2 weeks ago my exhaust started releasing blue smoke. I just bought a catch can I was about to install it but I decided to take the intercooler piping off and check.
I found small metal (aluminum) shavings and oil in the piping and in the intercooler. So does this mean I have to rebuild the turbo? I have a greddy kit (T518z) that I bought used from craigslist. Apparently it only had 6k miles on it.
Does anyone have something similar happen to their turbo set-up?

Hopefully, none of those shavings went inside the engine.. That's what I'm really worried about...
I'm probably going to clean the intake manifold really well too just to be sure..
