I think im going to end up sending out my manifold and compressor to get wrapped. Where do you all get the bolts to hold the turbo to the manifold?

Some friends of mine who also have their own turbo cars, have had great success with bolts through manifold and turbo, and copper nuts. So I'm also considering to take the turbo and manifold off the car to drill the holes to 8mm, and use 8mm bolts instead.

That's probably a good idea since metric would be easier to find. I think it might be a little bigger than 8mm?

The shop that first installed my kit used studs and 2 copper nuts on both ends because that worked well for their turbo'd race Integra and other turbo setups they've installed. But it still came loose. I think the lack of an engine dampener really causes A LOT of vibration in our cars. I highly suggest Nord-Lock if you can get them.

8mm bolts, with copper nuts and Nord-lock washers on both sides should be safe then!?

"if you can get them?" LOL Aren't they like down the block from you? LOL

Yes, that combo sounds like the solution!

Still trying to find out where I can get hold of some of those Nordlock washers... Have tried some different places with no luck so far. And yesterday, this happened:

The diff has about 115 000 miles on it, and quite a lot of abuse though. So no big shock, really. But still a bummer though.

Here's where I ordered mine from:

Nord-Lock washers

I went with the 3/8" stainless for the turbo -> manifold and 8mm stainless for the exhaust studs

This is where I got mine too, same ones for me.

Those pics didn't come out for me. I'm assuming we're looking at a blown diff? How did it happen? What gear were you in? Just curious...

EDIT: I just saw the pictures. That sucks. More so because my diff has about the same amount of miles. :
