I'll try to give them a call. In the meanwhile, I have probably found a diff in Sweden. So may be picking it up tomorrow.

Nice job on the build!

Was the diff destroyed on launch or just hard driving?

Thanks The diff started clunking during/after a 3rd gear pull, and said goodbye a few miles of careful driving later. But it has taken it's share of abuse, so it would probably have given in soon even without the turbo.

So, the "new" diff is back in place, as well as new Hasport 72A diff mounts. Now, over to the not so good stuff:
I'm having some cooling problems with the car. On idle, and low speeds (like 30mph traffic etc) the car can get a bit hot. Actually to the point of boiling. I have tried numerous time to bleed the system, and many times gotten LOTS of air out. The last few attempts, no air came out. It seems like it gets worse if I do some pulls up through 3rd-4th gear etc (with some load on the car if you understand). I was first thinking possibly headgasket, but the water and oil seems fine, and it doesn't seem to use any water. I have also checked under the oil filler cap and inside the valve cover, but no signs of "mayonaise" or anything like that. It all seems good. Is it probably still more air in the system, or could it still be headgasket? Really need to get to the bottom of this! I'm also thinking of getting a more efficient radiator, like f.ex the Fullblown radiator, as the intercooler blocks a lot of the air that earlier got right to the original radiator.

Any tips regarding the cooling problems and quick increase in water temp??

And so it begins....

I had pretty much the same issue, here's what I did to combat my heat:

KOYO radiator
2qty F.A.L. 1250cfm radiator fans
1.3bar radiator cap
1 bottle water wetter
75% distilled water, 25% antifreeze
Greddy oil cooler

So, as I was about to install the Fullblown head studs I found this:

So trying to find out now if I should try to find a good stock block and put it all together, or go "all in" and build an engine for ~800hp or so. If I decide to go all in it would take a lot of time and money, and I will have to find out what sleeves to use, who can do it, what pistons, what compression (stock-ish or lower) etc. A lot to think of.

if you have a good compression, put the head off and beat the crap of it you can run long time with this, its my opinion

f@#k!! It never ends with your car. You've had nothing but problems since you went turbo. I hope after you get a new block and headgasket everything runs perfect and you can actually enjoy the car. Good Luck I hope you get all these issues fixed now so you can really enjoy, and have a reliable car later

Thanks! I hope so. I think I've had my share of problems now... Will probably buy a new from factory block, new piston rings and all bottom bearings before putting it all back together. So I don't think it will see the road again before next spring. Will also get catch tank and oil cooler with thermostat in place. So then I have a project this winter as well...
