Angry Need everones 2 Cents...........

Well guys EVERYTHING has been ordered and I am looking forward to the tune on the 23rd however there is one thing kind of bugging me.

I had planned on ordering the Kenne Belle Boost-A-Pump, as well as his Boost-A-Spark. I know the AP2's dont really run into ignition problems, but my tuner thinks it might be a good idea. As far as the Boost-A-pump, thats the best alternative if your going to run a single Walboro.

Anyway DO I just cough up the cash (approx $500.00) for the Kenne Belle stuff and max out my setup?, even do a Race gas tune just to see what i makes?,

Do you think the Boost-A-Spark is necessary?

If both of those things will yield me an additional 50RWHP, I personally think its worth it, but I am not so sure it will

I dunno I am just asking you guys most of the High HP guys have been through several builds and have problem been in the same situation as me....

yea, I am thinking of anything I should go with the Boost-A-Pump, I have not heard of anyone having iginition problems with a AP2 coils....... Also the AEM's largest nozzle (from what I remember) does not spray as much fluid as some other Water/Meth kits, and my miiixture is about 50/50 of Water/Meth

I just dont want to get it tuned, then have the urge to go back and get it tuned again after I add parts that I could/shoulda got beforehand.

And I wonder how much more RWHP I race Gas (C16) tune will get me over 93 & pump

I wouldnt worry about the Boost A Spark but the Boost A Pump may help you out to get you in the mid 600 whp range on race fuel.

^ yea, sounds like a plan..............

Is it odd that I want to hit 600RWHP just so I can frame it and mount it on the wall

You'll have ignition issues right at about 600whp with the stock ignition and water/meth. It won't be real bad, but you'll see it on the dyno graph.

Below is my 2 dyno sessions (same dyno) and the only thing we changed was the ignition

Stock Ignition

AEM Twin Fire and AEM Pencil Coils

^ do you think the Boost-A-Spark would remedy that or I would need a system like yours?

I'm not real familiar with the boost-a-spark, so I couldn't give an educated answer to that.

Yeah it would remedy it, I think you will be ok with the AP2 coils and new plugs gapped down a bit tho. You will be ok with a rewired fuel pump, I dont remember if you did that or not.

Going to re-wire the fuel pump and was going with Irdium plugs.....should I scrap that and go with Copper plugs to gap them down?
