Exactly. Even a 60mm gate is less than 2.5". It probably does not make a huge difference vs. a 3 inch single pipe at low power, but how about at 600+?

don't forget that the downpipe is 3''
the catback (60mm) + WG setup (60 mm too)

so 60 mm X 2 = flow more than 3'' pipe

Is the stock cat back 60mm? I did not know. Well if the wastegate is 60mm then it will have more surface area to flow than a 3" pipe, but if the gate is something like a 44mm then it does not have as much.

Does anybody know how turbulent the flow is through a wastegate compared to a straight pipe?

60 mm area(exhaust) + 44 mm area (WG) = 43 cm2
75 mm exhaust = 44.15 cm2

really close

The wastegate is 60mm! I believe this setup SHOULD flow just as good as 3", if not more!

Best part is you are not sacrificing any power while having a quiet cruiser!

The inlet to the wastegate may be 60mm....but look at the outlet and compare the size.

I can't tell....but it looks a little smaller.

It looks similar to this one.

We made as many calculations in order to make this setup power friendly. It is a CX racing wastegate but the spring is a tial spring in order to get the gate to open early. We don't use CX gates on turbo setups but in this application the EGTs are half as much as they would be if it was on the manifold.

This is made to be a bolt in piece with our turbo kit. Our turbo downpipe is made to bolt up to the factory cat.

Yes open 3" down pipe will flow a bit better when the power is cranked up. The idea is to have a reliable, quiet and potentially equal power as a 3" exhaust turbo car.

The evac pipe comes with the pipe and the wastegate with the spring we install. Does not come with gaskets, hardware or vacuum hose for the gate.

We would be willing to make different versions of this with 3" butterfly valves etc. but the price will be different.

The $279 price does not include shipping.

this would go great with my trackforged turbo manifold setup. I currently have a full 3 inch exhaust. If I were to go with this wastegate actuated test pipe and a stock exhaust, do you think I will loose power.
