What do you guys think of this? I want it to spool quicker. Full boost at 4k rpm seems a bit late with this current setup
That sounds like a great idea. You should be able to run 14 psi on Pump gas no problem. The .63ar hot side should help with spool up a good amount.

I do lots of city driving since its my DD and i usuay end up being in the 2500-3500rpm area. So if i can make this setup hit 10psi at 3500 instead of 4000, that would be fantastic.

Im hoping it wont choke up in the top end with the .63 ar housing. I do have the pfab ELM mani which is great for top end tough.

Do you think ill manage to speed up the spoolt time by 500rpms?

500rpm is a lot. So I doubt it. Probably more like 200-400rpm if I were to guess.

Your situation is covered in this article about sizing for your desired application:
http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...e-Matters.aspx

So it seems you're a bit too big for your intended use. I don't think swapping to the 0.63 A/R turbine housing will quite get your desired torque curve down to where you want as it's probably around 300rpm improvement. However, if you do the small 0.63 A/R turbine housing along with the smaller GTX3067R turbo (which should gain you another 200-300rpm in spoolup), then it will meet your boost and rpm target. To hit 450whp, you will be pushing the turbo to the limit. I have seen a SR20 with the GTX3067R in 0.63 A/R make 470whp on a dynojet, but that's pretty much maxed out and perhaps overspinning the turbo which will reduce its life. I think it was race gas too. One other plus of going to the 3067 is it will have faster response due to lower rotational inertia compared to the 3071.

Nice! I had a super hard time trying to latch my turbo blanket on with my top mount so I ended up just laying it on the turbo for now lol. I almost need to take the turbo off to be able to get the blanket on correctly -____-

I had to take the valve cover and downpipe off to install this. And use LOTS of force on the blanket to pry it in position.

This is a snug as it gets lol.
