Default Oem Hood Vent for Turbo Guys

Just cut my oem hood vents and installed screens in the vents. What kind of panel bonding adhesive should I use? The panel bonding adhesive i used couldn't withstand the heat coming from my turbo and the screen fell off.

3m double sided tape works for a bit but then i had to use these kind of clips i found at ace hardware. Worked out good because the 3m also gave the clips something to bind the grill/mesh inbetween instead of aluminum.

Did u cut tour holes TO the outline of the reinforcements or gove yourself a 3/8" ledge?

So what i did was take a socket and put a sharpie through it. The socket went on the inside path of the framing which left me a ledge of the primary hood to give me room for the 3m and space to dremel (most importantly lol) it was pretty surgical but patience and a steady hand can get it done well. The clips aligned on the edge you can see have kept it solid for a while now. The 3m just really acts as a cushion now that binds and makes everything more even.

Gotch ya, yeah I would assume the 3m tape wouldn't hold it long at all with the heat coming from the turbo.. thanks for your pic and input!

Np, i have not had to re adjust anything either. I mean you cant go slamming on them with your palm... lol and people do like to start touching them once they find out its real! Lol but na they seen rain, hail, a lotta speed, tons of heat. The front ones paint is fading im assuming from rain/air friction peeling it back to the stainless steel but thats it.

i have a garage, if im out i have a bag to cover the WG and center housing... the rest of the vents are pretty offset from everything else. The battery gets wet(thats how far they are really over) it has rained hard enough to get the wrap wet, but its sealed for 1 and 2 on start up i let it warm up till it evaporates.

AND if im driving!!! I go faster lol and make sure i let the WG purge every once in a while. I have never seen any substantial amount of water come out though. Moving to fast forward i think. I have however washed my car and thought i could do good by not getting water in it... lol my windshield turned into a black shit pond lol. Needless to say i had to back to the car wash.
