Default Oil drain to oil pan...

So I saw that a few of the bolt on kits come with a weird adaptor that screws into the oil drain plug... Where does one find one of those?

Second question, what was the general pall park of having a real oil drain bung welded on?

Dont drain into the pan. You could end up having drainage problems which would eventually coke up the turbo. the drain needs to be well above any possible standing oil in the pan.

The greddy kit comes with a drain to oil pan plug, but oil will never drain properly if it is entering the lowest part of the pan. Tap the oil pan up top properly $75, and call it a day. Then if you ever change the setup you can just cap it off with a -10AN plug, or buy various -10AN conversion fittings to adapt to virtually any setup.
I adapted my greddy kit to a -10AN setup up top, the stuff they include with their kit is junk!

I dont understand why you would tap the girdle. What happens if you ever go back to stock? Tapping at a high point in the oil pan will be sufficient. That will allow the drain to be above the oil level in the pan.

The engine sits at an angle slanted towards the passenger side (turbo side)
the oil level in the pan is too high to tap it anywhere on that side.

Again like I said in the first reply, (before someone else chimed in with no knowledge of how oil drains out of a turbo and told u to tap the pan)

tap the girdle. Be done with it and have no oil seal problems with your turbo.

BTW, I tapped my pan but I also baffled my sump. This should lessen the blocking of the oil drain.

I don't think that helps as far as the pressure in the drain line.
