Default Operating Temp

I'm pretty sure that the normal operation temp for an AP2 is 8 bars.. Recently after my Pfab turbo install I noticed the temp. go up to 9, 10, 11 bars but only when the A/C is on. Why is my car doing this and how can I remedy the situation. Does anyone else have the Pfab kit experiencing the same problem. Do you think its an electrical issue from the install. I'm running Kpro, any thoughts on this woud be great. Thanks

Is your car a top mount turbo setup? Maybe a vented hood or an upgraded rad or oil cooler would help?

Is that turbo water cooled? If so I bet u need to bleed the coolant system better. This solves 99.9% of all over heating problems after installs lol.

I've been having this issue for several weeks also, with my Ptuned AP2 with AC on only engine temps goes all the way up to 230F (13 bars) then when I turned off the AC the engine temps drops down to 210-200F in couple of minutes.

What I discovered is pushed the AC recirc button and that works for my car. During my 3 hours trip last Tuesday, the last 50 minutes was steady 200-204F (8 bars) when I had the recirculating button pushed. It was 95+F ambient temps outside and I was freezing cold insided the car averaging 70MPH all the way with few pulls here and there.

Try it, it might work for you.

Check Compression, and Leakdown. I had this same problem, I removed my head. I had a tiny leak in the headgasket I replaced it and issue hasn't returned.

I think his issue of engine high temp is only when the AC is on which was the same issue as I had also. With AC off the engine temps stays at 8 bars whole day even I autocross in 90+F heat.
