Default PLM/Titanium Build

My car has been turbocharged for about 2 years now on the PLM manifold, dp and chargepipe kit, and it made 453 @13 psi on 93 octane with a eBay GTX3582 DBB .63 Turbo. I never really made a build thread but I made several others discussing the kit and my turbo. Recently I bought a tig welder and decided to figure out how to weld and make a few parts for the car. Specifically titanium, I love welding that material and its super light weight and durable. I plan on redoing most of the turbo kit and share it with the s2000 community. Also, track my overall progress and eventually offer parts if anyone is interested.

Running a Primeweld 225 on 110 and CK 17 torch with Fupa gas lens

Here's pics of the current setup and progess so far

my current IG is Chris_fabrications if anyone wants to give me a follow and check out my stuff. I try to work on it at least a few times a week. Dumptubes and downpipe is next.

Big shout out to S2ki user 5thGen for posting his fabrication work and motivating me to pick up a welder

okay cool. I plan on facing them towards the ground. I would love to do a hoodexit but don't want to cut the hood.

Nice man! I've been wanting to try titanium. It looks decent for just starting out. It took me like 5 years to get confident with stainless tubing.

What thickness is the tubing and your filler wire?

Cool i have been messing with Ti aswell i do like how it flows but it is sticky material when welding

im making a 2017+ GTR titanium exhaust system fit onto mine, Bought them cheap for the material from GTR boys who have gone for a bigger systems for more power ( nissan Fujitsubo Titanium rear box with the valve main pipe bore is 70mm 2.75'' )

the Furick cups are good lots of gas and only a few dabs at a time and let cool down, the silver part on the bov flange is what i have been aiming for going maybe straw golden try not to get to much purples when welding as will turn material quite brittle and i have been back purging most of the time

Im not a welder by trade Just giving it a go

Wow, awesome work! I'm still making a huge mess with Ti, but practice makes perfect, right? So are those Fujitsubo rear sections OEM from the GTR?

We got to give it a go man the only downside is the cost of raw material as it ain't cheap

Yes the systems are made by Fujitsubo for Nissan

Ooooh, that's pretty cool! Is that stack of them in your garage? Mind if I ask what they are going for?

Im in the uk your best of getting in touch with a R35 GTR specialist ( T1r Comes to mind ) to see if they have any about, when the GTR'S get more power they need a bigger diameter so might be a few of these available in the US
