Default Questions about E85

Hey S2ki,
I am new owner of a vortech Supercharger kit and had some questions about Running E85 with my build. Heres a list of what im thinking about using so far.

Vortech V2 kit
3.6" pulley
FMIC
AEM EMS S2
Header/Full exhaust
TBD injectors/fuel pump

So i have done some digging on the forums about E85 and really havent found much on the tuning of it. I have heard there is alot of inconsistency with the quality of the gas. Also heard about having different tunes when there is changes in the weather. This is what i have heard and that is why i am posting up in this section. I want to hear about some examples of people that have been running it for awhile and what their recommendation are. Is it really worth running E85 if i cant tune it myself since the ethanol content varies in each batch. I am open to everyones suggestions i just want to get a good grasp on it so i can make my decision when i get back from my deployment.

how much power are you going for? I think you will be fine with that size pulley on pump gas.

http://www.zeitronix...s/ECA/ECA.shtml

Zeitronix Ethanol Content Analyzer

You run it with a flex fuel sensor, EMS will adjust fuel based on actual ethanol content. It will handle to small fluctuations between E85 batches.
Only problem is it does not adjust timing, so if you fill up on 93 you will have to drive like a grandma until you fill up on E85 again

I will be running this when I make the switch

E85 is magic for turbo, faster spool and runs cooler with less knock.

Not sure it matters for a Vortech with 3.6" pulley.

All performance benefits aside, b/c I think we can all agree that E85 is the beez kneez for any sort of forced induction. How practical is running it for a car that's driven daily/often?

You guys that run E85...how close is your closest station(s) and how often do you drive your cars/refuel?

I'm on the same fence.

Definitely state dependent.

Can't you get a E85 test kit to test the ethanol content?
